Abant Lake is a landslide embankment lake with an area of 125 hectares, located at an altitude of about 1350 meters in a Nature Park dominated by pine and fir trees, 34 kilometers southwest of Bolu. Its deepest place is 18 meters. The fish that came out of the lake and known as the Abant Trout entered the literature as Salmo trutta abanticus.
